Tuberculosis
(TB) is an infectious disease normally caused by a bacterium,
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (and occasionally
by Mycobacterium bovis). Tuberculosis usually
affects the lungs, but it can spread to the kidneys, bones,
spine, brain and other parts of the body.
